  • All you need to be able to do is spin the excess water out of the fleece - a front loading machine will do this just fine.

  • Yes, two washes (hot water, lots of soap), about 10 min. each. Two rinses I've found works best, sometimes a third is needed if you're using your buckets several times before replacing the water. If you'd like, I can email you more detailed instructions.

  • @anitagorder what alot of work! This is how the ancient greeks must have done it in clay pots. I guess, or in rivers and ponds.

  • Don't use a front loader to spin your fleece, it tumbles it around too much.

  • I do it in my kitchen sink and it turns out beautifully! I use lingerie bags to hold the fleece or wool. Oh, and you should use the hottest water you can find. Not cold water from your hose outside.

  • What if I don't have a top loader washing machine?

  • Love the process. You said two washes and two rinses?
