I have a 226BW C Panel, and it is horrible out of the box. But once you calibrate the colours, it becomes a very high quality screen. The problem lies in the default colour calibration, not panel quality.

I have the ver c of the 226bw. I bought it back in APR or May of 2007,it has been a very good monitor. great color.I don't understand why people are saying such bad things about it.But recently the screen started flashing and won't stop so I did some research on the web and found it is caps on the power board, so I will replace those.But since I didn't know that at the time, I bought a new monitor so when i fix the 226bw I will have 2 a 22" and a 23". life is good

The 226BW is way better, you should try that one. I use it with my 360 and it works like a charm.

For 226bw A version it could be easily caliberated to the same output of S version > it's not wierd when samsung goes for others to produce panels for them . They've gained good reputation in the market now is time to cheat that raputation with any crap products.
