hm... with Unity it could be a great distro- but there are some drawbacks in ubuntu:
1. lack of support of Delta packages- that could save up to 94% of downloading during updates/upgrades /i can confirm that: although in most cases savings are about 80%/
2. lack of support of LVM/raid during installation from livecd
3. pure security- it would be better to have selinux properly configured

@5british5 i read an article from OMG Ubuntu and they said that the Creative Suite from Adobe will be on Linux in the future. so, its that and games, and i can gtfo win7

@Programmer5555 yea, im using the final ubuntu 11.04 atm, and it runs like a charm on my netbook, and my full laptop, the intergration of the netbook and desktop was a smart move for them

@TeruMikami2345 Yes. For small screen device such as netbooks, Unity gives even more advantage to be compared to GNOME3. Just wait for it. It may not be a smart move for now, but it will improve..
