I had what I thought were some mildly amusing lyrics for this, but the music was getting a little busy sounding as it was.

The poetic allusion in some of the drafts was the usual mending a broken heart type thing. Like an engine represented a living organism or something. I edited it and this is all that remained.

The GC160
Has a camshaft pulley
Replacement is easy
As you can clearly see
TDC is where piston needs to be

By the way, Echo gas power tools rock. Maybe a couple bucks more than competitors, but well worth it. The PB251 is significantly less expensive than the MTD Troy-Bilt leaf blower with the Honda GC160 engine that has the 200 MPH sticker (LOL), and significantly more powerful.

I did two guitar tracks for each section. The Warmoth Swamp Ash using the both the Seymour Duncan '59 and TB-5 at different times. The pedal was my Fulltone OCD into my Genz-Benz Black Pearl 30 was at the 8 watt (relatively dark) mode. Psychedelic style delay action courtesy of my Digitech Timebender delay. Several instances of Rapture were going in the background. I made an attempt to do the pre-reverb effect, plus a little too much flanger, that is heard on things like the chorus of Ratt's Round and Round on the solo and the process goes like this:

1. Record.
2. Reverse.
3. Add Reverb.
4. Bounce to a new track.
5. Reverse the clip in the new track.

Wind speed measuring device was a Kestrel 1000.

  • i love this engine ¡¡¡ let me tell u why cause this engine is for me the most difficult for repair for those who dont know how to do it , and this video show us the wrong way to do it ¡¡¡ teach people how to do it with all the steps ¡¡¡¡¡

  • Those GCV 160 engines kinda suck. They are built about as good as the B&S L head engines. I've had both apart and both are built with cheap parts and poor castings. The only advantage is that the briggs is cheaper cost wise but the honda is a little better on gas. Both will last though as long you take care of them. The Honda GXV engines are the way to go they are built much better.

  • ohc sucks non interferance valves all the way

  • I guess they are pretty reliable (I've never had one of these apart)YET.. Looks like a straightforward installation.... Good "ol" honda's..

  • Power tools and rock n roll america fux yea!

  • You wear gloves when working on stuff???? What's the matter, afraid to get grease and dirt under your fingernails?? LOL.
