Use very small pieces if wood like those slim twigs, it works a lot better. Good job
-
@RLMorris42 It's not plastic that would meld. It's Silicon. Would not melt even with flames licking it (but it would if kept all the time under direct fire for some time).
-
@RLMorris42 I think they're made of silicone, and that can tolorate at least 300 degrees, but i don't think more than 450.
-
I feel seasick watching this.

Was that two 8-ounce cups of water brought to a boil in ten minutes with wood?

@borderraven Yes, 16 oz of water in 10 minutes to a boil; details are on my blog at backpackbasecamp.blogspot.com

Nice video, thanks for testing it.
I am concerned that I would be paying a high price for what is, essentially, a titanium coffee can?

@MrBillTroop73 Right - it is expensive (I have an extra one from Evernew if you want to buy it). But the quality is excellent - I think it will last forever. The design is a bit more sophisticated then it may appear on the video, but you are essencially correct - it is a titanium coffee can stove.

@RLMorris42 Thanks for the reply, and the offer. Currently, I am working on a wood burning backpack stove design.
