This is the age of Lady GaGa now.
Dale truly inspired a whole generation of Dale wanabees. I salute the original Missing Persons and to Dale for making such great music.

@fendergibs ... Besides, I believe that judging a vocalist is a matter of opinion. There are many singers that I think have limited to no talent, whereas the masses believe they are fantastic.

@fendergibs Like I said, Frank Zappa -- the absolute genius that he was -- thought she was rather talented, from '76 to before he passed away in '93.
She has continued to possess an exquisite voice, however, I suppose that is merely my opinion. Although, Warren continues to tell her how amazing her voice is -- by the way, Dale and Warren are back together preparing a summer tour. ...
-
@CNSagent she could barely sing in 82, she cant sing now, terry & warren are still state of the art players
-
@sorry2dis No, Dale does not have osteoporosis, however, she does suffer from intermittant muscle/joint pain due to silicone toxicity from breast implants.
-
@fendergibs Honestly, I can't disagree with your opinion regarding Dale's performance, however, Dale dosen't like to dance, and considering the quality of the band, I don't blame her.
Frank Zappa thought Dale was quite talented. He said it would be her voice that would make Missing Persons a household name.
Gwen Stafani could NEVER replace Dale, nor could anyone else, for that matter. Trust me, Warren and Terry would most likey rather continue their solo careers than get together with Gwen.
-
@shaanfahey Without a doubt, Dale is a "virtuoso." If she wasn't, Frank would have never involved her in his music, let along advised her to form a band with his musicians.
If Dale had not been involved, Missing Persons would have most likey never come to fruition.

@Sindawe With all due respect, you don't know what you're taking about. You're just another oppressive, inconsiderate individual who believes everything they read and hear in the newsmedia.
Dale would NEVER intentionally harm, nor neglect an animal. She has immense compassion for animals.

What happens in the 80s stays in the 80s
-
@CosmicRey Yeah, Dale, Cyndi Lauper, and everyone else... Sorry, I don't have a real point, its just funny coming from all the Cyndi videos where the fans are saying the same thing about her. (Personally I love both, as well as a bunch of others like Blondie, Berlin, The Go-Gos and others.)
-
SAD!
-
Can't....see....her....foil encased titties.
-
Dale herself said in an interview that she doesn't really like ANY of the Missing Persons songs, and just sings them because the crowd expects to hear them. Steer clear.
-
maybe this was just the soundcheck?:)
-
Ostioperosis, perhaps?
-
I not sure what dougalmac54 is talking about? consider getting your hearing tested? dale can't sing, dance or preform. Terry Bozzio has more musical ability in his left foot then dale does altogether.
-
good point, she was by far the least talented member of the original band.
When they( the original band) reformed briefly in 2000 probably they should have asked Gwenn S from no doubt to substitute as this may have led to a longer tour and possibly a new release with her as the lead singer, as a side project. Dale's skills were weak back in the 80s and only worsened with time while terry bozzio & warren C continued to evolve musically.
-
what a judgmental dick! who gives a shit what you think, you Simon Cowell wannabe!
-
Will someone please tell Dale that it's not enough to sing the song? That in a live setting you have to PERFORM the song too? She just stands there like a dishrag, sucking the life out of it. This is what happens when people ride fame they never deserved in the first place. Missing Persons in the 80's was a band of virtuoso musicians, while she was a just a playboy bunny they put out front to sell the music. The media bought into it and apparently so did she. I feel sorry for the band.
I was a teen in the 80s..and loved this group (Dale w/ the REAL members of Missing Persons) it is kind of hearbreaking to see that she is a tad kookoo now...
