Y erbody trippn? It's all about preference. track for track Jay is my favorite producer but I'm not gonna sit up here and lie by saying I like erthang he produced. There's hella talented producers out there both mainstream and underground (9th, Dre, Primo, Neptunes, Kanye, etc.) and i bet everyone here has liked a track or two from them. Rep ur favorite beat maker but stop living in silos and expand ur horizons...trust me it will take you further

Yo, cats are sleeping on Exile... Dude is nice with the beats..

Yo man dilla is def on the top list of producers but his beats are too off sometimes for my liking, again though I own all of his instrumental albums so I'm not hating I just think there are better producers out there..

@microphoneboner baxter. bandcamp . com this guy is like j dilla on music steroids
-
@ceetheproducer it comes down to preference homie, i have over 20,000 instrumentals and like 50 of the top played are j dilla... j dilla is my favorite producer, and i consider him the best, so i mean its not like its a trend, people just really feel his genuine hip hop taste, no disrespect to other greats.
-
@teddygrambeatz name them...
-
@zealxcrash yeah that proves the ignorance that we live in bro... j dilla was already the most unique producer before he died.. its not like his death created him or his legacy. he was already the truth in hip hop producing.

@eladbrit you could not have worded it any better my great sir. thank you! peace homie.

if producers don't become BETTER than dilla that's not only an insult to the legacy he left us to learn and use from, but also sad state of hip hop in general. Dilla left us with so much knowledge I'm sure he'd want us to learn, grow and be better than he ever was, evolving hip hop to a greater state.

@eladbrit As a producer and a fan of Dilla i couldn't agree more with you. Its sad how so many claim to be a fan of Dilla yet they are quick to knock other people down. Dilla was all about dope music.. didnt judge just wanted to make good music and let the whole world hear his talent. If someone doesn't like his music... well thats them and their opinion. I feel sorry that they dont hear the same magic the fans do but who am i to judge
