White hatch interiors are an absolute taboo in any army. Hatches are the same color as the outside of the tank. A white hatch merely flashes a "here i am" signal, destroys your camouflage efforts and provides a great aiming point. Many people who restore AFVs and have no real experience with operating them do not realize the importance of this dangerous practise.
