Highlights from an international U14 "friendly" three period ringette game that took place on Februray 21st, 2011 in Rihmond Hill, Ontario between the Richmond Hill Lightning and Helsinki Ringette. The Finnish team was taking part in a Canadian tour and took part in a tournament in Paris, Ontario later that week.
The evening was planned as a fun event. Richmond Hill NRL player, Team Canada, and World Championship First Team All Star, Beth Hurren was introduced as honourary coach and captain. The teams exchanged gifts and following the playing of the national anthems, three exciting periods of ringette were played. The players then met after the game, ate some pizza together, and new friends were made.
All together it was a fun Family Day evening for everyone involved.
