@EdentiaFarms yeah backpack style seems more comfortable. Do you have enough room to put other small snacks? I like to take bananas & some nuts with me on trails.

@EdentiaFarms that's true! I wouldn't want a soggy foot. I'm wondering if these are good for hiking in the mountains? I would love these for that. But like you said, there are some wet parts on the trail where I might not want a soggy foot..lol

Glutton for punishment. :)

@enemytool I have toe socks. I think the vibrams would be way too tight to wear with socks. And they let in moisture. If you step in a puddle, your foot gets wet just like barefoot. I wouldn't want soggy socks under these.

Thanks for the info on the Nike sensor. I run in vibrams and did get some toe socks from the same store and am able to comfortably wear them while running while it is very cold. You just have to be sure to get running toe socks, they are thin, but give the extra warmth. I figure since I only need them when its below freezing, I don't have to worry about them getting wet!

@jkdzs I guess I might try the toe socks at some point but about getting wet... my feet sweat so I think they still might hold unwanted moisture. I think our freezes are mostly over, knock on wood. I'll think about it. The nike sensor seems to be right on accurate for the overall run but when you are checking your pace in stride it seems off sometimes. I think it must be averaging a lot. So, it's not official but it is a pretty good guess.

@EdentiaFarms. How did the Nike+ Sensor do on the outside of the shoes? Notice any issues? I'm looking at getting the sensor and case to wear on my NB Minimus

@djones226 Before it was calibrated it was 93% accurate outside the shoe and after the calibration it was 99% accurate. It's great for estimating your pace and distance. I liked the sensor case in the info. I got mine at Amazon but you might find it in a local store somewhere if you look.

Those shoes are neat!! & I need me a hydration pack! so convenient :) I look forward to learning more about those shoes because I might get a pair if they are worth it. I was thinking, what if you buy toe socks? could you wear those with these shoes? I found a couple of toe socks on amazon.

@enemytool They also have around the waist hydration packs. I prefer back-pack style. They are very handy for going longer distances.
