If you are acting like a dumb mother, I don't think you are getting a lot of respect when you're children are getting older. If you really don't know the answer than it is better to find it out together with your children. Secondly, children are copying you're behaviour so acting dumb encourage them to do the same at school and among friends. So act like a grown up and teach/guide you're children the proper way!!!! (like a mentor)
English isn't very good excususes for that (Anna, Europe)

My kid asked me questions about animals and bugs all the time till I finally started researching with her, she got so smart we shared what she's learning in our videos.
This is why the library must have been created...to answer all the "Whys" that mommies can't.

Seriously! It is not a crime to say that you don't know. The best thing to do next imo is to find out together with the kid what the answer to their question is. This teaches you something as well as them and also teaches them how to find information.

Uh, okay, how about you get your kids a tutor or something. That tutor will at least give decent answers.

Um.... first of all the kids aren't really smart.
The mom is just underestimating kids.
Kids DO quickly learn and adapt. That's just normal.. so this is actually normal.
And I agree, I could even do all that stuff when I was like younger then the boy.
