  • U-Scans SUCK. well the non-U-Scan self checkouts also have problems but U-Scan is the WORST

  • @ih8thyssenkrupp that particular U-Scan machine has given me problems in the past, almost to the point where i wanted to kick the stupid thing but today it actually behaved :P

  • @sputerhead 99% agreed. You forgot about when they press "Skip Bagging" and then put the item in the bag. Or when it says to put the item back in the bagging area after they take it off, and they stare at the screen... as if they didn't hear the instructions that it just told them to do. Yeah, some people just shouldn't even try.

  • I run the self scan a the Kroger where i work all the time, and 90% of the problems people have are their own fault. If they would do as the machine says it would be much better. JUST LEAVE THE BAGS ON THE SCALE UNTIL THE RECEIPT COMES OUT, AND KEEP YOUR KIDS OF THE SCALES. DOING THOSE THINGS ALONE WOULD SOLVE SO MANY PROBLEMS !

Its not the machine it is you !

  • @tommyboy6181 Very interesting. Thanks for the info!

  • @jimster586 Some stores lately near me got the new U-Scan Genesis models. Problem is they run the old software that locks up easily instead of the new software Kroger uses. However, Tops is replacing all regular checkouts by the end of 2012. Not sure of the register hardware yet but the software is from Retalix (same company that did the new touch screen checkouts for Publix).

  • @dieselducy I didn't film this lol. But I do know having been in Kroger before that they don't allow photos or videos. Actually most stores don't so if you go for it, just be careful. I know for a fact that Walmart definitely does not allow it at all.

  • @tommyboy6181 how did u get by with this? I want to film my local kroger :)

  • @dieselducy They do not lol

  • By where I live there are always NCR scanders. No IBM's no U-scan's no nothing elese. Just NCR's.
