i messed up in the middle, but this is just about some things ive come to learn the hard way i guess..

Your smile somehow used to be hypnotic
Your eyes,
Once illuminated worlds like
Like Fire-flies,
Had me fixated into false fantasies, and dreams and
Now I find it funny
Cause I cant seem to even remember anything else about you
It must be my old age
And its not that my memory isnt what it used to be
But just recently
Father Time decided to share some of his wisdom with me

Im sure you can agree with this too
Weve had as many bad times as good times, times two
And of that handful of good times, I can only think of few
And now when I think of heartbreak or abandonment, I can only think of you
I think back to your past actions, like they were hints to a clue
Signs were waving like red flags, like my brain already knew
It tried feeding my heart logic, but my heart would refuse
So instead of listening to reason, I stayed to get used

And if it werent for this
Priceless picture painted with a thousand words I tore into a thousand pointless pieces
You would have already
Most definitely been removed from my memory

Its been
More than 6 months 8 days and 12 hours since you went away
And since then Ive written six too many poems
Waited 8 too many times
Spent 12 too many late nights in fights with my sub conscience Which constantly reminded me
That you were never really my destiny;
You were never really meant for me at all

But I do have to admit this
Im glad that I met you
Cause although youve made me more regrets in 1 year than little Wayne has made remixes
Youve given me lessons meant to be learned from all our past experiences
And however the weather is or may be
Hate is always easy
But youve taught me that love
Takes courage
