VANCOUVER
A Film by Clancy Dennehy
Score by Tony Wilson
Photographs by Fred Herzog
Using both documentary and experimental techniques, Dennehys pre-2010 portrait of Vancouver exposes the simultaneous growth and decay of a city in transition. Starting with Fred Herzogs infamous 1960s street photographs, Dennehy used his own HD, Super 8 film, digital images and time lapse photography to create both a short film for TV / internet, and a feature length multi-media work adaptable for stage and live events.

Wow! I lived in Vancouver as a young man in the '70's and it's the Herzog photos (and cheap meals at The Only) that I can relate to. The city today is jarring and futuristic; that is the sense I get from your film.
