I don't agree. When songs say "I love you" -- it means that there's a happy couple and a happy ending. There is not a video that displays the intense inner psyches of the relationship - as the guy imagines or actually kills (couldn't tell) the person he loves. A standard pop video would just show people lying together and being happy - end of story.

@lundungoth the video means shit. it the songs content. the lyrics refer to a painful relationship in which the male finds it difficult to distinguish how he is in love with someone who makes him feel uneasy. many songs are just given generic videos such as this on behalf of the record company. when the dandy warhols released this song they were signed to capitol records and expected to create videos knowing rightly that people wouldn't even see many of them since singles are the only thing ontv
