Deep Purple is by far the biggest omission. They fucking invented heavy riffs.
Deep Purple, Dire Straits.. are long overdue. Ritchie Blackmore and Mark Knopfler are wizards on guitar

Judas Priest...such a disgrace that they are still not in the R&R HoF.

Kind of hard to take your list seriously without Rush or the Moody Blues

Uhm... why isn't Deep Purple already in the hall of fame? I mean, sure they could've "missed" Elo and Thin Lizzy, bur not inducting the creators of one of the most recognized guitar riffs, smoke on the water? Might as well induct rainbow while they're at it. Only other band that I can think of is Scorpions, including Uli Jon Roth. His solo career might not have been that astounding, but what he did in Scorpions is just amazing.

I watched this whole thing to see what you would say about KISS.... I want 7:16 minutes of my life back!

Deep Purple and Yes....there not justice!!! Purple are The Gods of Hard Rock and Yes...the most incredible progresive rock band of all times
KISS, RUSH, Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, Thin Lizzy, Journey, Yes, April Wine, Def Leppard, Judas Priest, Electric Light Orchestra, Motor Head, New York Dolls, MC5, Dio, Steppenwolf, Grand Funk Railroad, Cheap trick, Boston, The Guess Who, Deep Purple, Triumph, Joy Division should all be in. Also how the hell is KISS not on your list.

@TheHappynot Hey, it's 10 artists who should be in the hall, not the ONLY 10 artists... Sure, KISS belongs. April Wine and Triumph, though? Can't see it. Maybe the Canadian Hall of Fame :)

@brotherjb58 Well, Triumph maybe, but April Wine had the longevity which Triumph never did they also had great songs so April Wine for Cleveland. Also I get that its a top ten list but there just two many bands that should be in so I named them all off the top of my head. Also what about The Guess Who, Steppenwolf and RUSH there Canadian and on my list.

@TheHappynot Of those 3, I'd vote Rush -- they're original, have massive longevity, sold lots of records & they're great players. So yeah, Rush for sure. Guess Who & Steppenwolf were fine bands, but not at that level. Now, if I could get every hall of Fame voter to see vancouver's NoMeansNo play live, I bet I could get them in. they're the best live band on the planet, and they've been doing it for 30 years. But , alas, they'll have to buy a ticket to get into the joint.
