@effactor1 well the fact that Fred Hampton was in college majoring in pre-law destroys your false perception revolutionaries like the panthers. This fate you described was true for some members of organizations but obviously not all. The people who clearly had the intellect to fulfill a successful revolution were obviously murdered in many organizations. @sweetesthangover2009 I don't want to get into a tit for tat about the finer points of the panthers. If you would read Carl Marx, you would find the 10 point program in his writings. That fact of the matter is that the panthers and other community groups in the sixties are pure leftwing/communist/socialist ideologists. I realize that an oppressed group will turn to who is promising equality. But, government by its nature, cannot and will not deliver this. Racism is a virus in EVERY COUNTRY.

In this video did you not hear that Hoover declared the party to be the number one threat to the internal security of the us? They set out to crush the panthers. Think about having the government against you, think about having them set out to destroy you. Do you think that you could handle that?

Simple research would show you that the panthers had no intentions of the government taking care of anybody, their intentions were for every human to have a fair chance at a good life. For everybody to be in control of their own destinies. They wanted for blacks, all the basic rights that whites were given. If you take a look at their 10 point program then you will see this.
