Gaddafi's Remote Gun Car

Came across this just out side of Sirte in Libya, The rebels captured it but don't know how to use it. Maybe some one can tell me what it is and what it was used for.

Foreign boots on the ground? i can clearly hear an Englishman talking to another abbout mobile phone. God knows who is killing all those Libyan civillians. Elizabeth Mountbaten has her fingers in another pie again.

@andylumeh You are right in one way, you did hear 2 Englishmen talking about a mobile phone but there are thousands English, French, Americans and people from every-where around the world in Libya. Aid Workers, Doctors, the press and so on, the voices you heard belong to the good people of the BBC.

yeh yeh where will the gun shoot, since there is the roof is blocking the nozzle of the gun?. Besides, looking at that picture, the gun was was forced up there by someone to take this picture, it does'nt look right. We are not stupid you know. The devil is a liar.

@andylumeh Well Andy, clearly you are stupid, if you look at the shot from outside the car you will see a hatch in the roof, one of the red buttons is marked "tower up". One would assume that the gun would rise up out of the hatch so there would be nothing blocking the "nozzle" while the operator could stay safe inside the armored car, I took these photos and I am not a liar.

Looks to be a LMG of sorts. The barrel is very well ventalated which means it's used for fully automatic fire. I'm not sure of possible uses, obviously not crowd control, that'd be lethal. No, it's definitely not a sniper rifle. Takes a box mag with huge ammo capacity. Probably 7.62mm
