  • Forrey was an incredible SCI-FI man!!!!

  • @BUDDY6414724297 Forry , in an article he wriote back in the 80s, stated he didnt like the movie--(well, much asI like Bruce Dern, I didn't care for the movie , either). My very favorite SF movie is 2001: A Space Odyssey. Forry--a hero of mine--didn't like the movie at all. Oh well...

  • What about Silent Running?

  • RIP 4e from japan

  • Forrrest Ackerman's writing in Famous Monsters of Filmland was a real inspiration to me when I was 10 years old, back in 1964. When I came to Los Angeles in 1981 I made it a point to visit his home, the 'Ackermansion', where he showed me around his collection of movie memorabilia. What a great guy.

  • I visited the Ackermansion many years ago. Forry was the most generous soul who ever lived. He let me try on Bela Lugosi's silk cape. Such a funny, sweet person. RIP

  • Great Man ..RIP ...From Brazil

  • RIP Forry. I remember well the thrill of reading Famous Monsters of Filmland back in the 70s when I was a kid.

  • A prayer to Forrest J. Ackerman, 91, founder of Famous Monsters of Filmland Magazine.

    Body:

My prayers go out to Forrest J. Ackerman, 91, founder of Famous Monsters of Filmland Magazine.

I heard the end was nearing, and that he was resting comfortably at the AckerMansion.

Uncle Forry was the Jerry Garcia of Classic Horror and Sci-Fi fandom.

  • OH MY God!!

I have known Forry for 20 years, and to see Forry here in his prime is just delicious. I must have these early clips for my collection.

    4E 4ever!!!!!
