  • speed and really pin down the throttle to get up these hills! these bikes may be dinosaurs but most of em' hold there own!

  • I grew up on a 1975 mt 125. It's like they're indestructable. Strange how that two stoke can lug up hills like it's nothing. I remember holding on to my dad as a kid going up hills convinced it would die out and we'd roll off a mountain and get killed. But it always pulled thru! I can't wait to take it out. They are head turners for sure and earn the respect of modern bikes no doubt. Happy riding and thanks so much for the comments.

  • aw, love it man! runs clean! if you notice in your first vid when it's smokin alot, the pipe isn't seated all the way back, infact thats why it was smoken alot down low. probally ran a little hot cause of that and burned up the seals. enjoy it man! makes me wanna really jump on mine.

  • Thanks and thanks for reminding me. I got to get that seal. It's snug but I do need to replace it. I rode it in the snow last week and had a blast. Best part was it never got muddy! But mud is sure to come soon!

  • Looks like fun!

  • I believe in the same philosophy. I'm in the process of rebuilding the same bike. Just threw in new bearings, seals, gaskets, a new inside case and shifter shaft. Previous owner had bent the shaft and cracked out the bottom of the case around the shifter seal and oil drain bolt.

Threw her back together last week... CRAZY compression, HUGE blue spark, and the tranny shifts like a dream... and I haven't even started it yet!!!

I'm doing the frame, forks and swingarm red, tank and fenders black.

  • they are nice to have i tore hell out of mine lol

  • you too man, it's nice to meet another mt owner, it's rather rare. happy riding!

  • my philosophy is that even though i restore a bike, i'm not gunna let it sit and look pretty, it was made to ride and ride it will. if you take care of machine, they'll last forever. muddin it will be fun! the mt250's are a bit like a 4-stroke down low, they got some good torque. riding mine with my friends, my 73 mt250 can lug right up most hills in 3rd gear not goin too fast but my buddies and thier 2000's modern bikes have to get some descent
