Thanks for sharing a nice series. I too have a few in the ground right now. I know variety genetics has everything to do with growth habit and finished product, but I'm wondering if you can definitely tell a difference in flavor from what you might purchase from a store? Again, thanks for sharing.

Very nice job! This will be our first year moving potatoes out of the garden into containers.

Excellent!
I like how you kept records and shared your results.

it is fun experimenting with different things like this. And the potato's grown at home are SO MUCH better than store bought!

planted in may you should wait till end of september to mid orctober to pick your patatoes or till the first frost, now you can feel around a start to take the larger ones off starting end of august that way you will double your yeld and only add about 4inches of soil every two weeks if you want to pile them

@scicciarella65 You are correct sir. I am going to wait much longer this year. Curiosity and indecision got the better of me in 2009, but not this year. Thanks for the tips.

use a fertilizer that has lower nitrogen, nitrogen gives green plants, does nothing for the potato in the ground, use a lower nitrogen, higher potasium and Potash.
Again great video series!

@chevydmax04 I went that direction with the fertilizer this year. I have also been burying the plants more completely, and I think I have noticed what you said about more shoots coming up, and hence more potato opportunity one would think. I would love to see a 10 pound harvest if you post it. Thanks for the tips.
