@cattmom12 Where ever they are, they do their thing. Though mine tends to use one part of the cage more than others. But they can and will pee and poop on you. The urine is clear and non staining. But when it dries, it gets a strong musty odor. The poop is just like mouse poop. Small dry brown/black rice sized pieces. I have never noticed an odor from the poop.
Most people keep their gliders in cages, and bring them out to play and get exercise. Just clean out the bottom of the cage.

@Jeffro403 I have to ask this. What do you do about it's bathroom needs? Can they be litter box trained?

@fennecfoxfan It wasn't my thinking that he had an infection that set in, it was my vet's. He specializes in exotics and sees gliders on a daily basis, so he's quite knowledgeable about their health.

I have to be careful what shirt I wear when I play with my suggie. He lives to go down the cleavage... >.< His claws are sharp!

@MrOzzyPom It takes months for infection to be the death. I have 13 and am a veterinarian technician, and I disagree with you. If he died from an infection that is a very poor mistake on your part. I have owned gliders for decades and never lost one to somethings so in-severe and easily treated.

@fennecfoxfan He was barely a year old. His passing had nothing to do with his genes. One of my females bit his tail and he appeared to be doing well, but infection set in and got to him before anyone could catch it. Sugar gliders are fragile and one event can change the world.

How old was she when she died and do you know why? Just to inform everyone here, this colour variation is a result of inbreeding to bring out a recessive gene. And this is why they often are born with issues or have very short lifespans.

@MakiMaki962047 Hi! do you have any idea where you got your white glider from? I'm from the UK and I literally couldn't find a breeder anywhere to buy a white one. :( Very lovely sugar glider btw!

@MrSuRvIvAlmAn I paid (well, my parents paid - he was my Christmas/B-day present) $700 for him, which included the shipping. He was cheaper because he was neutered before coming to me because I had no intentions to breed him. A lot of breeders will give you a discount if you buy a pet-only glider.

Actually - yes! xD It fit him quite well for a little while, with how much he crabbed and how loud he was! lol

My glider has never really wanted to go back into its cage. She travels with me to work every day and loves her time out of the cage. Climbing in plants, drapes, and jumping on the furniture. She loves her freedom. But stays close to me. she follows me around the house like a little dog. I have started making videos, but have not yet posted them. I'll have to work on that...

It's great that she's bonded to you and stays close to you. Just be sure that any plants she plays on aren't toxic to suggies. :)
