[Alison’s P.O.V.]

The moment his lips hit mine, I probably had never been so confused in my life. Why would Joe just kiss me? With Nick standing RIGHT there? Oh dang, Nick’s going to kill Joe. I pushed Joe off of me, expecting Nick to hit him anytime now.
“Joe?! What’s going on-” Pow. Nick socked Joe right in the jaw, sending him straight to floor and only half-way conscious. Nick walked out, kicking Joe on his way, and angrily stomped towards the stairs. I didn’t know whether to help Joe or run after Nick, but decided to help Joe since I had nothing to explain to Nick anyways. I just walked in and JOE kissed ME. Nick would understand. “Joe? Joe, are you okay?” I said, bending down next to him and moving some of his hair out of his face. He groaned and held his jaw. I’ll take that as a no?
“Sorry Alison,” he mumbled. “Nick and I were just fighting about things again and, I don’t know, he just made me really mad,” he said, slowly sitting up. I sat down beside him and sighed.
“It’s alright, I guess. But did you have to kiss me? Could’ve saved yourself a punch to the face and me the drama...”
“Sorry, I just wasn’t thinking but... nevermind.”
“No, go ahead.”
“It was nothing, forget it.”
“Joe...” I said. He sighed and stood up, but fell back a little. I grabbed onto his arm and helped him walk into his room. He sat down on his bed and put his face in his hands. “Headache?” I asked. He nodded and groaned. “Could I do something for you?” I asked. He lifted his head up and looked into my eyes.
“...Kiss me,” he whispered before placing his lips on mine.

[Nick’s P.O.V.]

I ended up driving to Ryan’s house. He had been my best friend since atleast Kindergarten and always knew how to clear my mind. I knocked on his front door and was greeted by him. Lucky him, he lived all alone. No parents. So, so lucky.
“Hey, dude!” he said while stepping aside and letting me in. “What’s up, man? Haven’t talked to you in a week.”
“Joe just kissed my girlfriend,” I stated. His mouth turned into an “o” as he led me over to his couch.
“That blows... so she’s, like, cheating on you?”
“No, she didn’t do anything. It’s all Joe. I swear dude, I’m gonna kill him.” He nodded and gave me a sympathetic face.
“How about you chill here for a little while? Have a beer with me?” Slowly, I agreed to that offer. He brought in two beers, one for me and one for him. We pretty much just talked and watched TV... and drank beer. Not enough to get drunk or anything though. It really helped clear my mind.
