A Link to the Past: Tempered Sword early and Pyramid as Rabbit

This is a response to Greenalink's early Tempered Sword video, to show my own version how to get the sword early as well as getting to the other side of the poles on the bridge.

I did the Mountain Descent glitch before, I suggest you go and look that up in case you are wondering how I'm a bunny in the Dark World.

If you use the mirror the same frame as you are jumping down a cliff, Link can move one pixel forward each time. Do this three times until you reach the ladder. Then you walk up as high as you can, do one more mirror jump, stand still and then move up.

Getting through the poles is slightly trickier to do.
Step 1: First you need to get to the other side of the fence. Use the mirror as far to the left as you can, then move 1-2 pixels to the left before going back to the Dark World. Use the mirror without moving and then move go to the left.

Step 2: Once inside, you need to go a bit to the left so that Link will get stuck in the fence. When you now press down, Link shall appear above the fence.

Step 3: Press up and directly after, up+left and Link should get stuck walking into a wall. If Link moved to the upper right, you held up too long or didn't release up+left at the same time.

Step 4: When you got the right position, press down+left at the same time and Link will move down and end up inf ront of the leftmost part of the fence. If he doesn't, you either were too far to the right in step 2, didn't go as high up as possible in step 3 or didn't press down+left at the very same time in step 4.

Step 5: If you end up in the right position, hold up and Link will jump across the screen. Once there, this method is the easiest: Press right once, down once, hold right and last press down and you are through! This is a different, but much easier, method than I used in the video.

As I can't get into the Pyramid the way, I ended the video with a little glitch :). In the GBA version you can enter the door with the save trick, but I was unable to get in there in the SNES version.

So instead of going right to the pyramid, I managed to get some more awesome upgrades WAY early. I can't believe I did it, too! Oh man I wish I could record and upload it to show you, lol. Basically go to the same place where you fall up to cross the bridge, but get him to fall up-left into the water. It's actually easier, as I didn't need to go as far left above the 2 pegs in the fence to jump up-left. Much easier than falling up. And it gets you the bottle and magic =) and a heart piece.

@TheRoomy Yeah, there are several ways to get in that area in the game. There is another glitch named the Exploration Glitch that lets you walk inside walls. An easy way to activate this is to get inside the Eastern Palace, jump down the cliff in the third room and S&Q while being midair.

Then you start the game up (Not in the mountain cave) and get hurt in a dungeon or in the overworld. You'll see some good things :).

Wow dude. I hope you see this comment. I just tried this and couldn't go jump up from the cliff and couldn't get it right, but I managed to jump UP-LEFT so that I fell into the water that you can't get into. Using that, I was walking around ABOVE the pyramid, and I could easily hop to the right from the water to the pyramid, but instead, I went left and jumped into the part of the Dwarves house in the dark world. I got 1/4 magic and the 4th bottle as early as you could get there using tricks!

@LITNDARC All three as well as the fourth after you have walked up the ladder. If you fail once, by jumping down the cliff, you'll have to redo from start.

Everything I do is detailed in the movie description. So read that and then repeat what I do in the video.

@LITNDARC One frame timing to get it right when you use the mirror. You need to use it at the very same moment that you are jumping down the platform, or it won't work.

The bunny keeps falling . And link is not getting any closer to the ladder .. What am I doing wrong???
