  • it seems odd to say there is no one way

it seems odd to say the alleged candidacies for that way are valid in every circumstance or situation, esp. when deliberately interpreted w/o nuance

it is certain that literal interpretation of books literally denying in their own text(s) the impossibility and inadvisability of the literal interpretations, is not a career move

  • i love your book on islam. thank you, karen armstrong. may god guide you always.

  • just read "through the narrow gate" and am almost finished with "The Spiral Staircase." a generous writer and inspiring as well.

  • cliveawilson.

    True, or false?

Any & every "spiritual", "intellectual" & "knowledgeable" NON-MUSLIM who receives lecture fees, votes, endorsements & "other" benefits to publicly extol the "goodness" & the "nobility" of Islam (that proclaims itself as "the final religion from from Allah, because of the corruption in all other religions")- IS AND MUST BE a SPIRITUAL, INTELLECTUAL & KNOWLEDGEABLE pimp, prostitute/gigolo.

  • Thank you Karen. And for your excellent books. Illuminating.

  • Thank you awesome

  • This is from Puget Sound University in Seattle, Washington, USA. Karen Armstrong speaks on the nature of fundamentalism as a modern phenomenon with adherents generally targeting members of their own group.
