Taking a look at one of the biggest failures in the grand history of Nintendo, the Virtual Boy was indeed a blemish on the Big N's staunch record of great contributions to the video game world. Released in 1995, to a library of about 14 or 15 games, the Virtual Boy was a commerical and critical bomb and is now just a curious piece of gaming lore. Do you remember this mess known as the Virtual Boy? If you've never seen it before, you're in for a treat. If you know it already, then take another look at recall a little nostalgia. Episode #10 of the Ethos Video Review series. Thank you as always for watching!

  • Great yard sale score man. Good thing they didn't release an RPG for the thing with the playing limits. Nice filming man, footage is hard to get of VB.

  • @Noyjeetut Oh man, imagine if there was an RPG for Virtual Boy? It would've been painful! LOL. And totally, I couldn't say no to 5 dollars for it, with or without the stand. Filming the game footage took some effort, but thankfully I figured it out. lol. Thanks again for watching!

  • Respond to this video...good review...keep it up

  • @BobSoprano Thanks man. It means a lot. Thank you.

  • Dude, I love your "Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past" calendar.

    Great review.

  • @OhCrunchberries Thanks man! Yeah, the calendar is a Nintendo Power calendar they released back in December. It has a classic game every month. It's pretty cool.

Thanks for watching. Glad you liked it.

  • dude, you're gettin a headache cos you have your head between your legs, jus sayin

this thing was meant to be played either lying on your back or with the stand, which you dont have.. but surely playing it stood up, with the thing perched on a high shelf or somethin, would work a lot better?

  • @00denier Obvious troll is obvious.

  • Technically this WAS portable,as long as you had a table and chair.

  • HMZ-T1 time.

  • Ok I agree that it should not have been marketed as a portable game system. On the other hand reviewing it without the stand and with only one game if just not fair. Infact the system had a few not only good but great games like wario land(1 of the best platformers ever) and jack bros. Not get me wrong the virtual boy is no ds but its no tiger gamecom either now that was garbage.

  • GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK I SOLD IT TOO YOU!!!

  • Great review. Virtual boy is what happen when you try to release a concept before the technology is ready to support it. The 3DS now seems to be doing very well, well besides the fact that so few worthy games have been released for it yet.

  • i loved that as a kid

  • Too bad it didn't have a chance :( but I still don't know how it was portable...LOL!

  • JERK SAYING IT WAS AN EPIC FAILURE !!!! EVERYTHING FROM NINTENDO IS AWESOME ( except for the zelda series )
