  • do most concept artists use a computer to draw? or do they just do it in real life with pencils?

  • @whitechapel0095 They can do both, but on the job mainly computer.

  • awesome video. but one question. i dont know anything about art on computers so can someone tell me what program this is. Photoshop? or something else. and what is the best program for creating concept art like stuff?

  • @Mullseynga Photoshop and gimp would do just fine.

  • What program is this?

  • @screwedupsomewhere PS or gimp either one.

  • @whitechapel0095 mostly it would be done on computer because that way its easier to edit the drawing and send it to other people, and put it on different programs for different effects.

  • @Mullseynga There's no right answer to that question

there's open canvas, paint tool sai, photoshop, corel painter, gimp, the list goes on and on.

Basically what you need to do is just look around and experiment so you can find what feels comfortable to you. Some people love photoshop, some prefer Painter, others like to use Sai. Some programs are designed to work better at art than others but ones that arent still get the job done, so as I said its really what you find you prefer to use.

  • I have a question; I see some brushes in your brush list that I don't recognize and that didn't come with my edition of PS. Did you download them or design them yourself?

  • Just a few questions. Do you work in the industry of film or games? If so how long does it take for you to render images to this quality? For me, rendering fairly detailed images may take between 4 to 12 hours depending on what it is. I'm currently set on improving my concept art through the use of different methods. Currently I use light to dark grey hues to shade/render my characters form and detail and apply colours within different layers.

  • @KrazeeShadow wo-man-ta ray
