  • Sweet! Beautiful instrument. Your playing is coming along - awesome. I always play crammed on my swivel chair. The dulcimer kept getting away from me LOL

So I put a strap on it but . ... well not the greatest way to hold it a presume. But it gives me a good excuse I can blame the boo boos on the chair. ha ha

    Keep sharing!

  • Good going, AutumnStrings. Just a quick suggestion. Widen you leg stance and place you dulcimer in your lap at an angle with the first fret over your left knee. This will give you greater support when you press down on the 1st and 2nd fret. You'll also find that your left arm will move more comfortably up the fret board towards the higher notes. You won't have to awkwardly bend your left wrist to hit the the higher notes, as in a straight lap position. All in all good job, keep it up. FF
