TARANTULA 2009

This tarantula was encountered on January 7, 2009, at an elevation of about 3000 feet in the Slate Range overlooking Panamint Valley and Searles Valley in California. You can see that the color of this specimen is a little on the light side. I'm not sure if this is a time of year thing or if it is due to the age of this tarantula.
