  • I think I am the only person who thinks this is the best Anna! I pictured her as a mature beauty, Kitty was the one who is youthful and pretty.

  • I'm about 3/4 of the way done with this book, and I've watched the Sean Bean version up unto the point I'm at in the book. I was disappointed by the 1997 version, and thought the BBC version would be remarkably better. So far, my worst complaint with this version is the casting. Anna is older looking than I imagined her, and I find her husband more attractive than Vronsky, which is obviously not right. Oh well, I'm sure it will grow on me.

  • omg this wronski is a fool

  • not true to the book at all

  • Sorry Kevin but that hand stand sucked, even for a drunk.

  • What I find interesting is that a woman who saw this film told me that she thought Anna was CRAZY for leaving Stephen Dillane.

An interesting paradox is that Karenin is a politician. But yet he's the symbol of truth, morals and integrity in this story.

  • Kevin McKidd is amazing in this movie. People alot of the time have him in sometime of uniform of authority. He looks so hot in.

  • @wilmabignose Anna Karenina [DVD] [1977] with Nicola Pagett as Anna is my absolute favourite version - it's truly epic, true to the book and the acting is fantastic. It's available on Amazon.

  • anna looks elegant here.......... her eyes has sadness inside

  • @wilmabignose Yes, there are some flaws in the casting, although they act perfect. Anna is good, But Lievin is more attractive than Vronsky. He should look more attractive in a distinct way... Anyway, good lucky with the book: it's breathtaking...

  • I prefer the Sean Bean / Sophie Marceau version. I believed the chemistry and tragedy so much more. Helen Mcroy and Kevin McKidd are excellent actors
