  • I like the video - good stuff. BTW, what's your take on a service like USAA offers for military folks - where once you select the car you want, the they will do all of the dealing?

  • Thank you thank you. I think the USAA financing is GREAT. USAA, Costco, all the CUs do great work. They make the job easier for the customer to get in and buy the vehicle. At times they MAY not be able to beat the rates honestly, but 9/10 times they get better rates/terms than dealers. They also assure you are not purchasing a car way out of your league. More greedy dealerships hate them because they take the extra "markup" dealers put on new and sometimes used cars.

  • Thank you. You have confirmed all my prior intuitions about car salesman.

  • Glad I can be of some service.

  • all your points were good except for getting pissed off about people coming and looking if you like to sale cars and don't like customers than do wholesale its what my dad did for 27 years he didn't like making sales to individuals so he did actions and delt with car dealers. he however now he actually runs a junk yard since adesa(?) bought all the near auctions and ran them into bankruptcy

I say up front to the sales men when I'm not buying sometimes I'm looking at a new model i like

  • I hear you. Some of my family does wholesale which works for them. I do the e-bids sometimes. My tire-kicker frustration is with those who are completely not looking to buy. I think most salesmen would prefer they don't come to the main floor or ask questions if they aren't interested.... often times management is watching wondering why the "customer" didn't buy and "just lookin" is foreign to them.

  • I call them stealerships. You are better off saving your money for a few months then go to an auction. Yes you take a risk but as long the physical appearance of the vehicle is satisfactory how bad could it possible be. Just stay away from flood or rollover damages and plan to pay another 3000 in repair. At the end of the day you will have already owned the vehicle and can go at your own pace. My friend just bought a 2006 nissan maxima for $4000 and only paid $3000 extra to restore it.

  • I kno alot about cars..... i werk on em 24/7

  • thanks man, it's extremely helpful and now I know I won't make a fool of myself. thanks again!

  • You're highly intelligent and honest.. I'd love to buy a car from you Sir.. I learned a lot.

  • @Hotrodrogers91 guess what. When you drive of the lot with your 40,000 benz. it will be worth 29,000. and you know what the messed up part is down the road at the certified used car lot is selling the same benze with 10,000 miles on it for 25-30000. you think someone can tell the diffrence from a new car and a used car with 10,000 miles.

  • @CooksCorner agreed.

  • I will never buy a used car. It is like buying used underwear.

  • best part was the 200 dollar payment with a 1000 month loan.

  • @hopperflowers I'd say never let your guard down! Do all the research (pricing!!warranties!! consumer reviews!!) on EACH car you plan on looking at. If you find one you haven't seen before, be prepared to take your time and research before purchasing. Also use a site like carmax . com or something similar to calculate your payments and gauge your credit if you are financing. If you're paying cash, feel free to NEGOTIATE as much as possible!

  • I agree with you for the most part.
