  • There is a clock together with a plaque at Kings Cross, a plaque at each of the 2005bombing sites, and yet nothing at Moorgate. Why?? Do the people that perished in this horrific tragedy not matter?! It is a disgrace.

  • Very moving. Its a travesty that this accident seems to have been forgotton.

  • What chance of a plaque when this disaster has been airbrushed out of history.

  • Where did you get these photos from?

  • I've got a few Daily Mirror newspapers about this event. Two editions from 1st March 1975. What was the cause of this crash, anyone know?

  • @bismuthcadmium - Good point. Another possibility (IMHO) is a Transient Ishaemic Attack (T.I.A).

  • Thank you: the firemen; coppers; London Transport staff, investigators & engineers; cutters & mechanics & labourers; doctors, nurses & staff of Barts & The London; the magnificent LAS; the WRVS & Sally Army; the locals who supplied workers free of charge, opened their premises & cared for the walking wounded; the public who gave blood; the BBC & ITN whose reporters worked with the services & made available their phones & telex etc.

Londoners will not forgot your bravery & service

  • Its weird , I've never heard of this ...

    Really sad ;(

  • @Stephenkirkby - 1938 stock does have E-P brakes, and if you read the official report it states that both the Westinghouse and Electro-Pneumatic brakes were functioning correctly and in good order. The guard was looking for a newspaper in the rear cab. People should really do their homework before posting comments. R.I.P to all who lost their lives

  • RIP Mary O'Brien. 28th Feb 1975
