You know, just because you lose the motor to LVC,doesnt mean you have to make a crash landing. Just use some energy management, and by that I mean lift/altitude energy to glide the plane to the ground where you want it. Always be in charge of the plane, not reactive to it. Also when you are getting to the end of the battery it is a good idea to set up your flight pattern so that you have a plan in case the motor quits. Dont Fly too low, give yourself an out if you lose power. Have Fun!

I will look into it. I'm going purchase this plane shortly and when the weather warms up I'm sure I'll bust the nose gear, lol...
I found one new on eBay and it looks like Nitro has them back in stock now as well... New to the hobby, sorta of... (it's been a long time and I never quiet had the proper resources as a young fella) So I'm a newb... can't wait to fly now with my son...
Thanks for your help!

sax777q I don't know if your LHS will have all the parts I used in the nose gear mod. Check out the video titled FMS Sky Trainer Modified Nose Gear.mp4. In the detail description box is a list of parts and instructions I used for the mod. All parts were soureced from Tower Hobbies.
