John Fitzgerald (http://johnfitzgeraldforcongress.com) discusses the challenges facing middle-class and working-poor Americans and on running a grassroots campaign. At a job-site, John talks about his painting contracting business being down 75%, and the construction business suffering in this bad economy. John started his painting business as a teenager - John outlines the history of his business. John gives us a tour of an interior house painting job - telling how the homeowner pledged to vote for him! John's campaign for Congress is run on a shoestring budget, there's no money for advertising, just flyers and word of mouth. John is proud of the campaign trying to make things better for the middle class and working poor. John is the Democratic challenger to Rep. George Miller in California's 7th district. CA-7 includes parts of Benicia, Clayton, Concord, Crockett, El Cerrito, El Sobrante, Fairfield, Green Valley, Hercules, Martinez, Pinole, Pittsburg, Port Costa, Richmond, Rodeo, San Pablo, Suisun City, Vacaville, and Vallejo.

  • Of course, the country is bankrupt . But no one in the government(except Ron Paul, it seems) is standing up to that.
