If you're a male on match.com take it down IMMEDIATELY, you'll get harrassed by angry biter women on there it's not worth the hassle, go on plentyoffish or adult friend finder..something else!

A lot of sites have a "hide profile" option which hides your profile from search results. If you think you may have found "the one" but aren't quite sure yet, use this option until you are more sure of the situation. This way, if he/she turns out to be a dud, you can make your profile visible again with one or two clicks instead of having to completely re-create the whole thing. Then just update your existing profile from there. You can then delete it when you're sure of your relationship.
