Designed by the German studio Osko+Deichmann based in Berlin, Abyss is one of the leading projects of Kundalini's collection at Euroluce 2007.

Abyss is a table lamp composed by a modular structure of injection moulded opal polycarbonate illuminated by a high voltage LED strip.
This vertebrate structure allows infinite combinations of self-standing articulated forms that seem to freely float in space.

The subliminal perception of this light body evokes atmospheres of deep ocean ambience in which luminous organisms sinuously and beamingly float into the darkness.

Thanks to a provided hook Abyss can also be hung to the wall and shaped according to the new position.

I used 4 feet of Loc-line 1/2" hose segments all snapped together. I strung led's inside, one per segment, and powered it with a dc power supply. Next, I'm going to change the led's out with a red-blue-green combo led so I can get different shades of color.

  • @gilham6 OMG. Hello I really want to make this in my DT project, how did you do it?

  • expensive, yes. However, it's only made of about $30.00 in loc-line connectors and a $10.00 LED strip, thats it. I've made my own identical lamp and saved $500.00

  • soo awesome, but sooo expensive

  • coool
