The description below explains the Law and the rest of the message the boys didn't stick around to hear. Are you Good Enough to go to Heaven? This question is too important to get wrong. Therefore, don't go by opinion or feelings to find the answer. Go by what God has told us in His Word. The Bible states, "...it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment." (Hebrews 9:27) How will you do on judgment day? Have you obeyed God's commands? Read on to find out. Have you ever lied? "...all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."(Revelations 21:8) Ever looked with lust? "...whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." (Matthew 5:28) Ever taken God's name in vain? "...the Lord will not hold him guitless who takes His name in vain." (Exodus 20:7) Ever stolen anything? (Exodus 20:15) Ever coveted (desired) something that belongs to someone else? (Exodus 20:17) Ever gotten drunk? (Ephesians 5:18, 1 Timothy 3:3) Ever consulted a medium or person who claims to talk to the dead? (Leviticus 19:31) Ever dishonored your father or mother? (Exodus 20:12) Ever sought after revenge? (Romans 12:19) Always loved your neighbor as yourself? (Leviticus 19:18) Always loved God with all your heart, soul and strength? (Deuteronomy 6:5) "...there is none who seeks after God." (Romans 3:11) It only takes one sin..."For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all." (James 2:10) God's standard is high. Jesus commanded, "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your father in Heaven is perfect." (Matthew 5:48) Based on what God has told us, do you think you'll be innocent or guilty on judgment day? Will you go to Heaven or Hell? God is good (Mark 10:18)and He is also just (2 Thessalonians 1:6). Therefore, "...he does not leave the guilty unpunished..." (Numbers 14:18) There are many who make the mistake of thinking that they will get into Heaven because of good deeds they have done, but the Bible warns that "...all our righteous acts are like filthy wrags..." (Isaiah 64:6) Good deeds don't erase bad ones. The sad truth is that we have nothing to offer God. "Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight..." (Romans 3:20) WE HAVE ONLY ONE HOPE... Although we deserve to "...be punished with everlasting destruction..." (2 Thessalonians 1:9), God made a way that we could be forgiven. "...God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son..." (John 3:16) He sent Jesus to take our punishment upon the cross (Isaiah 53:5-6; 1 Peter 2:24). The good news is "...that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again according to the Scriptures," (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) What must you do to be saved? If you want to be freed from sin and eternal Hell, then you must have "...repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." (Acts 20:21) Repentance is a "change of mind." It's turning away from your sinful ways. Turn away from lying, lusting, blaspheming, coveting, stealing, fornicating and/or any other sin(s). Then, trust in Jesus Christ to save you (John 14:1). Trust in Christ more than you would in a parachute if you were to jump from a plane that was flying at 20,000 feet. You would be counting on that parachute alone to save you. It would be your only hope. Do the same and more with Jesus; trust in Him alone for the forgiveness of your sins. Attending church, being water baptized and doing good deeds are all good things and we should do them; but they cannot save you. God's Word say it's "not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Christ Jesus our Savior," (Titus 3:5-6). Eternal life is a free gift of God (Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9). If you truly do repent and trust in the Lord, God will save you and He will transform you. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17) After you get right with God, read the Bible daily (1 Peter 2:2) and obey it, see 1 John 5:3. TURN TO GOD TODAY--YOU MAY NOT HAVE TOMORROW.

  • I respect your beliefs, but your probably not going to get very far by teaching kids about God in a park!

I would recommend just giving people philisophical assistance when you see someone do something wrong, because quite honestly people are easily scared away from talk about God and such.

I'm Buddhist and you know Christianity and Buddhism isn't all that different! Thanks for sharing that!

  • Thank you for commenting on this video. As Christians we are commanded to go out and spread the gospel (Matthew 28:19). The Christian message of there being only one way to Heaven which is through Jesus Christ (John 14:6) is not one that people for the most part in any circumstance will be eager to embrace. It is also not an easy message for many when they are shown that they are a sinner who cannot make it to Heaven through their own good deeds.

  • Whether someone accepts or rejects the message of salvation is beyond an evangelist's control. Only God can draw people to Him and truly change their heart and give them new desires. 2 Corinthians 5:17states "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."

  • The two greatest commandments under which all the other ones fall are found in Luke 10:27"So he answered and said,'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and 'your neighbor as yourself.'" Thanks again for your response to this video.

  • Hey I'm just wondering... Even though this doesn't matter much to me, would you say that I'm going to hell just because I'm Buddhist? Even if I'm a good person?

That's the one thing I don't get about Christianity! That just because someone doesn't believe they're going to hell!

Thanks for the response! I find many things about Christianty to be intrigueging and useful, yet many others seem to be contridictory.

    Thanks again!

  • Thanks for your recent comments Malasubidude. After I told the evangelist in the video about your question, he said he would like to respond this time and he has included it above.

  • @Malasubidude, if you look at 10 Commandments, GOD's Law, you will see that we are not good people, and that is the problem. GOD's standard for eternal life is perfect goodness, and you & I have already fallen short. But JESUS fulfilled the Law, so by faith in Him we may receive eternal life + all spiritual blessing. Why? B/c He died and Rose again. The blood is the life (Lev 17:11), and JESUS is God in the flesh, so His blood shed on that cross is the very Life of GOD, to wash you and I clean!

  • Too bad the evangelist didn't get a chance to tell them about Jesus' sacrifice. We should always try to quickly mention that, even over objections, so that we don't leave people in condemnation without an understanding of how to be saved. You can just shout out, "But Jesus is God in the flesh and He came to earth to live the perfect life you and I haven't and then to die on the Cross for our sins and Rose again from the dead so that if you trust Him, He will give you eternal life!"

  • The law of God doesn't apply to me (Rom 2:14, Eph 2:12).

  • *shakes head* breeding ignorance

  • Thanks for your time guys! I hope you find what you're looking for, or if you've already found it, I hope you guys keep it up.

There are many realities in this world, I have one and you have one, and actually both of your's are different I suppose aswell!

I really do enjoy learning about other religions, and christianity is no different!

    Thanks again! Namaste!

  • So according to the bible I'll go to hell because I don't believe in Jesus? I don't understand why God and Jesus would be so egotistic though, why would they care if I believe in them or not, especially if I'm a good person?

Sorry I'm not trying to be a troll or anything, but as a Buddhist I'm supposed to learn about other religions, since the Buddha said that his path is not the only one to enlightenment. I believe there is some kind of God, but I just don't believe in the christian one!

  • Hi,

You won't go to hell merely because you're Buddhist. The Bible tells us "He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." (John 3:36) We'll go to hell if we don't repent and trust in Christ and what He did for everlasting life because we have violated God's righteous commands. The description to the right of the video goes in to more detail on this.

    May God lead you
