  • Im a fag im fag im a fag in the 70's

  • @Capnsensible80 Anyone can separate SOME aspects of an entire decade to make whatever point they want. If you're gonna lump it all together, than punk goes in, too.

  • @bucky468

Prog rock is self-indulgent fret-wanking. Alt rock also.

  • @Capnsensible80 Alongside the Beatles, Velvet Underground & British Invasion, prog is the roots of what is now alt-rock.

  • @Capnsensible80 Don't be hating on prog. Prog is the REAL roots of alt-rock...you remember that. Most of today's alt-rock artists (Coldplay especially) should be bowing down to Pink Floyd every day.

  • @bucky468

Disco, Vietnam War, PROG ROCK, huge unemployment, Son of Sam, Nixon and the Cold War to name a few reasons. At least they gave us punk rock and hobbyists were perfecting PCs though, so I guess it wasn't ALL bad.

  • Baby Boomers selling you rumors of a history... Forcing youth away from the truth of whats real today

  • i am thinking about making my own version of this, but switching 70's with 80's.. only problem is making those words fit the beat, ha ha..

  • The lyrics are about looking through an adults eyes that grew up in the 70's as a kid and they are warning the youth today will end up like them.

  • @ahoneyman Nothing against this song, nor lots of great music from the 90s, but I remember the 70s had a ton of great music! Sure, there was lots wrong with the decade.

And for those who want to remember the 90s as a wonderful time for music, they also gave us Garth Brooks. Not to mention the rise of hip hop as the dominant music genre.

Every decade has great AND embarrassing moments. If you choose to remember the best OR the worst of any particular decade, that's an incomplete picture.
