A new treatment at the Vanderbilt Voice Center, in Nashville, Tennessee, can treat vocal cord problems in minutes in a regular exam room. Traditionally, treating vocal cord problems required surgery in the operating room, and general anesthesia for the patient. The new Pulsed Dye Laser, inserted down the throat, treats vocal cord problems while the patient is awake. Barb Cramer has the story in this Vanderbilt video news release.
Would this procedure be recommended for a singer, who's much more wiser... Now???
