Fidel is not a dictator. Dictators don't teach the poor literacy. Dictators don't arm the people from the threat of invasion. Dictators don't provide free medical care Dictators don't ration the food products among the people. Dictators don't cut off diplomatic ties with Israel over the mistreatment of Palestinians Dictators don't organize teams of doctors to go and provide free medical care to the poor in third world countries. If Castro is a Dictator then he is the strangest one there is.

@aweseb But dictators do keep themselves in power despite what the people in their own country may want. Dictators do not allow open elections, and dictators tend to throw people in jail or kill them for disagreeing with policies. All of these things Castro does, so yea...he's a dictator. Providing free health care is completely not related to the traits of a dictator. Clown...

@aweseb All those points but the last point could as well be applied to Hitler. Fidel Castro seized power through force of arms, executed thousands of purposed opponents without trial and clung to power for 17 years without holding even the most fraudulent, fictious sham of election, as had been his the the Partido Ortodoxo's promise during the years of struggle against the Batista regime. Even homosexuals were locked up in internment camps in the 60s, which he recently apologized for. Grow up!
