With the majority of the Japanese population and ex-pat bloggers / youtubers residing in built-up areas, it's hardly surprising that Japan tends to be seen as a land of concrete by the outside world. But with approximately 75% of Japan's landmass being forested hills, that's actually far from the truth.
In this short video, I show how lush the Japanese inaka (countryside) actually is - and you don't have to go all that far from the cities to find it.
This video was shot near Hanno-shi, Saitama-ken, not all that far from central Tokyo.
