Having traveled around the world, people have always asked me if there are any Muslims in America... and if there are than are they like any other Muslim? What kind of clothes do they wear? How do they pray? What brand of Islam do they practice? What do they do for a living?

This line of questioning might seem strange to some people but the truth is that there is a misperception about America and Muslims around the world and this misconception is vice versa.

To answer these complex questions, I head out to a location hidden deep in the woods of Philadelphia.

salam, one thing you done wrong in this video, you said " most of the world are sunnis, shite, sufis.

sunni = sufis.. sufisim is just a way of living your life, such as h shayk abdul qadir jilani r.a he was sunni but also followed the path of tasawuf ( SUFISIM) Sunni is aqeeda, if some one asked me what are you, i would say sunni (Ahle sunnah wal jamat) and follow they way of the people of tasawuf) sufisim.

@daneshjoo2011 . i do not follow Deoband , Deoband are also is a misguided Sect which is a root of Wahabism. Ala Hazrat Sayedina Imam Ahmed Raza Khan and many more Scholars Have gave a Fatwa of kufr on the Deoband because of Insulting Prophet SallAllah hu Alai hi Wasalam. They have Insulted him by comparing his Knowledge with Shaytan Hasha ! Astagfirullah, they also have desrespected his Blessed Pure Family and Sahaba RadiAllah Anhuma Ajmaeen.

@daneshjoo2011 Salam brother , Shia is not a madhab , shia scholars are not Scholars of Islam. The shia Curse Sayedina Abu Bakir As Saddiqe and say he is out of the fold of islam , not only this by they call him a hypocrite Hasha ! Astagfirullah. Allah Azawajal Jala WalAa has called Sayedina Abu Bakir Saddiqe a Sahabi and Believer. The Shia go Againt this which has made them Kafir cause we All know those who deny any word of the Quran They are kafir. Shia is not a Madhab but just a Sex colt.

"scholars" from the deobandi movement in pakistan have done so. Scholars from Al-Azar recognise the Shia as the fifth madhab in Islam. People like Shaykh Fadhlallah Haeri are Shia and also shaykhs of tasawuf. Just saying. Tasawuf does not belong to a sect.

@daneshjoo2011 ... what are you talking about shia have nothing to do with Tasawuf they are Khawarij they curse the Ashaab un Nabi Sallah la hu alihi waslam. Sufism is a way to live life , Sunni is your Aqaid. Shaykj Abdul Qadir Was one Staunch Sufi a friend of God but he him self was sunni as you can see by his books, Sir Al Asrar a wonderful book.

scholars from the Ahle sunnah have gave a fatwa of Kufr on the shia because of the outright hatred against the Asahab un Nabi Sallahu alay wasam

Sunni does not equal Sufi. All sufis are NOT sunni. There are Shia mystics as well. Many like Allamah Tabatabai (ra) with many keramat/miracles and extraordinary lives mashAllah. Tru tassawuf does not belong to a sect.

sufism is a way of life it is basically the implementation of ihsan it is not a mathhab. Sufis are the most peaceful people in the planet, have you ever seen a sufi that crashes plane into towers. wanderingruh
