This was written by Daryl hall, about his girlfriend Sara Allen, and her life as a stewardess. I'd say it's my favorite Hall & Oates song. I find it evokes the intended image very effectively, and is a very catchy tune.
This is how I imagine the demo sounding.

  • Larry....You know what i see when i come here?...Yes, it is a good song...But this is one, like so many of yours, that shows one thing...There are people that have a nice voice and people that can play a guitar well...And when they cover a song, such as this, it is pleasent...But, when you do a song, original or cover, it's much more than that...The sounds of your voice and playing are genuinely superb in every way....You so deserve the name MUSICMAN:)...ione marie

  • Nice one my man and nice job balancing that plant pot on the fence.

  • Anyway you would want to do this again with the camera on the frets? :D

  • Oh my, that was great! Thank you, great guitar and vocals.

  • @fredechar812 He's playing in D. First chord is Dmajor7th. It's mostly in key from there.. it does what chord sequences do.. - not too many surprises!! (DMAJ7, F#m, Bm, F#m should set you off if you can't work out the first few...)

In the chorus the bass line (and chords) just go down and up bits of the the D major scale, but listen out for the odd chord that breaks out of key (accidentals)

    Hope that's useful!

Beautifully played by the way Podline66!!!!

  • well done

  • Great Performance!!!!

  • I would love to figure out how to play this song. How did you figure out these chords?
