I grew up in England and during my childhood television was limited as in we had 3 stations in total which broadcast for certain hours of the afternoon and evening.
In hindsight, I am glad that is all we had as these days so many children are placed infront of the TV with little else for them to do.
I have never heard of Barbara Billingsley but have to say she resembles my late mother when younger.
I think with her death, part of your childhood came to an end.

@Barklord i think the baby Alligator episode of Leave it to Beaver was the first on Tv that ever showed a bathroom. not sure but that's what I remember.
