The tune is 'Any Broken hearts to Mend ?' by J.P.Long, published 1938. This is a real Compton theatre pipe organ installed as the BBC Theatre Organ in 1938, fire-bombed and destroyed in 1940. Reginald Foort played it initially then Sandy Macpherson until it was destroyed. Sandy was not the world's best theatre organist but became famous (or to some infamous) after he kept BBC light music going practically single handed at one stage during the war.
I play organ and have a few pretty good electronic theater organs, the 1964 Wurlitzer 4500 and the 1976 Gulbransen Rialto II being my favorites. I also like my 81' Hammond Elegante and 66' Thomas Palace III. The Wurlitzer is by far the smoothest tone that has a solid foundation of all Electronic Theater Organs IMO. Listen to John La Duca Wurlitzer 4500.4502/4300 ( side 1, & side 2). Also listen to Organ Moods John Winters at the Mighty Wurlitzer .
