10 Things About My Dog Newman:
1. I rescued him from "death row" 10 years ago on 9/11. (shortly before I rescued John from whatever life he had going).
2. He loved bacon. (Newman, not John. John too but mostly Newman)
3. He apparently loved rat poison too because he survived the consumption of some.
4. He also survived the consumption of a piece of metal which was surgically removed from his intestines.
5. He was a celebrity superstar in our building and everyone loved him.
6. He would take John on long walks... Not the other way around.
7. He had perfect instincts about people. If Newman didn't like you, you probably weren't a very good person.
8. John must taste like bacon because Newman could lick his arms, hands and face for hours if left to his own devices.
9. He lived to make us happy.
10. He died old, happy and loved and isn't that the way we'd all like to go. RIP, little buddy.

You rescued a wonderful dog and made sure he is remembered even by those of us who never knew him. I'm grateful to be able to watch this moving tribute to a dog so well loved and I'll bet Newman would have loved to have seen his "name in lights." Thank you.

"...the day i hope would never come is here..." --- I DO NOT look forward to that day.
Love the song choice - who sings it?

Oh, sweetheart, I am so very sorry. When I see Newman, I see Watson. It breaks my heart. You two were the best parents that pup could ask for. He was just as blessed to have you and you were to have him. His spirit will live in his memory. ox
