Did you use a geiger counter to find the thorite? I have been thinking about buying a second hand geiger to search for thorium/monazite.

Good video ;) I never saw that version of the DP-5, and with a test source of Cobalt. They usually use Strontium. I really nice piece of equipment. Hope some day get my hands in one of those, it´s an historical piece and a good instrument.
