What cost $1.29 in 1950 would cost $11.37 in 2009. However, an all metal razor that lasts long enough to be handed down from father to son is completely worth $12. A heavy duty safety razor today is around $60. Even a cheaper one is about $25.

@generationboom That explains how while cleaning out my best friend's dad's house we found a ton of rusted single and double edged razor blades while yanking out the worn out medicine cabinet.

We were lucky we didn't get cut.
