Its true, once it takes hold your toast. My grandfather is pretty similar to aunt from the sounds of it. I've seen and heard lots of cases where smoking a little bit of cannabis can help a lot. See if your aunt is bad enough to give medical marijuana a try.

Please remember that Parkinson's disease is degenerative - you can't remove it, you can just slow down symptoms... My aunt has Parkinson's disease, doctors promised to make her walk again with a surgery, the deep brain stimulation, but they didn't achieve their aim - though with some young patients, it works...

In this case, it didn't work - the patient has no more the shacking, but I bet he can't walk properly.
