  • ...wasn't necessarily using the entire line, Master Big Money. Just trying to have a little fun with this topic considering I like both players.. CONSIDERING I'm a heavy fan of Kansas Basketball.. But knowing my basketball I know someone who has talent and if Pete was alive today 'would be awesome for basketball'

  • @Iconhulk My arrogance blinds me? Nice botched quote Palpatine. I'm not Wilt so I;m not being arrogant. Any half-way decent center would have an easy time beating Maravich in one on one. Centers can just post up all the way to the basket. As good as he was, there's no way Pistol's gonna box out, block, or outrebound any decent center, let alone the greatest one of all time.

  • @bigmoney749 "your arrogant blinds you from the truth" (speaking even from a Jayhawk fan like myself point) Pistol's good...I'm talking REeeaLLY Good... I wouldn't count him out if it has the word 'basket' and 'ball'...

  • @bigmoney749 ..I'm a Ku Fan so I'm hear to say Wilt wasn't the best all time... I'm sorry to say he is; HE is in TOP 5 CENTERS all-time absolutely. You cannot argue with Eleven NBA TITLES of a BILL RUSSELL with a Boston Celtics team.. Wilt and Russell both bitter rivals yet later became close friends....

  • Dang I can't decide....!!!? I'm a Ku fan should go for Wilt but I stand by it everytime Pistol is the Greatest... (he didn't have $200 sneakers, 3pt line til final couple years of his nba career & IS Greatest Collegiate Basketball player(avged 44.2pts/Game w/o 3pt LINE)

  • MARAVICH FO LIFE STAY SERBIAN!

  • @bigmoney749 Maybe so, but MJ wouldn't be destroyed. He's faster than Chamberlain and he his vertical gets him higher than almost anyone (ofcourse not higher than Wilt, but he'd get up high enough to get a block in and contest the shot).

What I'd really like to see is a free throw contest between the two, lol. JK

  • @Ageingrebel Even if you have the best shooting guard of all time, MJ, a center still has a huge advantage in one-on-one. All he has to do is post up all the way to the basket and take the easy dunk, hook, fade, whatever, and it's no guarantee, but he has a much better chance of getting the rebound too. Plus, we're also dealing with the best center of all time here.

  • @bigmoney749 No I did mean MJ. Not so sure about getting destroyed. No player can make space for himself as well as MJ. He's got an unmatched arsenal of moves to get to the rim and he can shoot from distance. Even if he wouldn't win, Wilt would never truly destroy him. Plus MJ can dunk on big guys, as he has proven over and over again.

  • @Ageingrebel If that certain someone is supposed to be MJ, think again. Remember, I said one-on-one. The only player he might have trouble with would be Shaq.
